Beginning photographers will appreciate the ability of the A1455 digital camera from General Imaging (the camera division of GE) to run from two AA disposable batteries. It's much easier to swap out AA batteries while traveling versus finding a power source for a rechargeable battery.
Unlike many beginner-level cameras that run from AA batteries, however, GE didn't skimp on the feature set for the A1455. You'll find 14.1 megapixels of resolution, a 5X optical zoom lens, and a 2.7-inch LCD with this model, and it's smaller than many cameras that run from AA batteries, with a camera body measuring only 0.9 inches in thickness.
The A1455 should be for sale now in black, silver, and red, with an MSRP of $159.99. However, if you shop around, you may be able to save quite a bit on that introductory price.
